If You Work for a Living You Can’t Afford to Vote Republican This November.

Republicans distract by constantly blabbering about guns, Obama and Benghazi, but that is merely to divert you from what they are doing to make your life worse.

In state legislatures and in Congress,

Republicans have voted AGAINST:

·      Social Security and its increases
       Minimum wage increases

·      Workplace safety

·      Cities and states that raise minimum wages above federal levels

·      Paid sick leave

·      Unemployment benefit extensions

·      Equal pay for women doing equal work

·      Prohibiting wage theft – paying less than minimum wage, forcing          unpaid overtime, taking tips, etc

    And Republicans vote FOR:

·      Child labor

·      Forcing unemployed workers to accept lower paying jobs or lose unemployment benefits

·      Canceling unemployment benefits for employees who violate company behavior standards – such as criticizing it on FaceBook or dating a co-worker.

This is true for Republicans in West Virginia and in every state. And it is consistent with more than 100 years of Republican opposition to workers, including voting historically against Social Security, 8 hr workdays, minimum wages, and Medicare.

Republicans have always been the party of the corporations, but now many Americans are sinking out of the middle class, and at the same time, the May 28 Wheeling Intelligencer reports that the medium income of CEOs is now $10million – a 50% increase over last 4 years.
